Join WIMN for this year’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

Join WIMN in taking part in this year’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. The global theme, “UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls,” spotlights the rise of abuse and exploitation in the expansion of the digital world.

Launched in 1991, the annual 16 Days campaign runs from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day).

As digital spaces increasingly shape how we work, organize, migrate, and connect, the forms of violence faced by women and girls — especially migrant, refugee, and marginalized communities — are also evolving. From online harassment to digital surveillance, data exploitation, and cyber-enabled trafficking, these harms are deeply connected to the structural inequalities we challenge every day.

As part of our collective presence in this global campaign, WIMN invites you to share any actions, initiatives, publications, events, or reflections your organization or community is undertaking related to the impacts of technology — good and bad — on migrant rights.

Join the 16 Days conversation on social media: use #NoExcuse and #ACTtoEndViolence. And please tag WIMN when posting — this will help us highlight and uplift work that addresses digitalization and supports the advancement of safer, more just digital environments.

WIMN will be posting on social media today and throughout the 16 Days campaign.
