Steering Committee
WIMN is led by a five-member Interim Steering Committee:
- Monika Hartsel, Solidarity Center
- Milka Isinta, Pan African Network in Defense of Migrant Rights
- Shannon Lederer, AFL-CIO
- Michele Levoy, Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants (PICUM, Europe)
- Berenice Valdez Rivera, Instituto para las Mujeres en la Migración (IMUMI)
Organization
WIMN members convene monthly via international conference calls, while working groups and teams carry out projects, event coordination and contribute in-kind support including communications, fundraising and other operations.
Staffing includes Carol Barton and Catherine Tactaquin, Co-conveners and Paola Cyment, Program Coordinator. Secretariat support is provided by Solidarity Center and IMUMI. The National Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (NNIRR), a registered, 501 c 3, non-profit organization in the U.S., serves as fiscal agent for WIMN.
Global Coalition on Migration
WIMN is a proud member of the Global Coalition on Migration. GCM members comprise regional and international networks of migrant associations, migrants rights organizations and advocates, trade unions, faith groups and academia, covering every region around the world.
