Women in Migration Network is a global network of migrant women, gender-diverse people, grassroots organizations, advocates, researchers, labor organizers, and allies working to advance migrant justice through feminist, intersectional, and human rights-based approaches.

We believe that women and people of diverse genders affected by migration must be at the center of policy-making, movement-building, advocacy, and knowledge production. WIMN creates spaces for solidarity, collective action, leadership development, and transnational collaboration across regions and movements.

Whether you are an organization, collective, activist, academic, service provider, union, artist, or community leader, membership in WIMN connects you to a growing global community committed to dignity, justice, and transformative change.

Why Become a Member?

As a WIMN member, you become part of an international network working collectively to influence migration discourse, policy, and practice.

Members may have opportunities to:

Organizational Membership Categories

For organizations, collectives, unions, NGOs, grassroots groups, academic institutions, and networks working on migration, gender justice, labor rights, climate justice, human rights, and related fields.

Regarding Individual Membership: For migrants, activists, researchers, advocates, students, organizers, artists, practitioners, and allies committed to WIMN’s mission and values.

Organizational Members’ Rights and Responsibilities

WIMN membership is rooted in mutual respect, accountability, and solidarity.

Members are expected to:

• Uphold WIMN values and principles
• Engage respectfully with fellow members
• Support inclusive and non-discriminatory practices
• Contribute constructively to collective spaces and initiatives
• Respect confidentiality and safeguarding standards where applicable

Members have the right to:

• Participate in WIMN activities and consultations
• Access member communications and opportunities
• Contribute ideas, initiatives, and perspectives
• Engage in network governance processes as applicable
• Vote in election of Board Members

Membership Review Process

All membership applications undergo a review process to ensure alignment with WIMN’s mission, values, and safeguarding principles. Applications may include endorsement or referral from existing members, although this is not required.

WIMN reserves the right to approve, defer, or decline applications that do not align with the network’s principles and commitments.
